5. Albert wesker

First appeared in the original resident evil, Wesker is one of the best resident evil character. Wesker was born in 1960 while he died on march 7 2009. We see him last in resident evil 5 where he is killed by Chris and Sheva in a volcano. Over the years we see Wesker turn into a antagonist after his betrayal at the end of resident evil. At the beginning Wesker works for umbrella but at the end we find about his betrayal.

4. Chris Redfield

One of the 2 playable characters in resident evil 1 Chris is one of the most iconic characters of resident evil. Chris also has the most appearances than any other resident evil character! Chris has a shocking transformation at the start of resident evil 5. Chris has huge biceps and is a lot different as well. At the time of resident evil 5 Chris is also working for bsaa. We see Chris last in resident evil 7 where in the end he meets Ethan and rescues him.

Claire the brother of Chris first appears in resident evil 2, in which she is one of the playable characters, the other being Leon. In resident evil 2 Claire is searching for her lost brother, chris in racoon city. Her most recent appearence was in revelations 2.

First appearing in resident evil 1 Jill is one of the best characters in the whole resident evil franchise. She first appears in resident evil 1 where she is trapped in the spencer mansion. We also see her in resident evil 3 where she is constantly being chases by nemesis whose purpose is to eliminate all stars members. Jill's fight with Chris in resident evil 5 is perhaps one of the most iconic moment in the whole resident evil franchise. Well thank god Jill did not turn into a 'JILL SANDWICH' otherwise we wouldn't have such great moments.

Leon S kennedy was a rookie cop when the racoon incident occoured. He was on his first day during the racoon incident. Leon was able to survive the incident which showed his great skills of survival. Perhaps Leon gained most of his popularity from resident evil 4 in which he is sent to rescue the president's daughter, Leon was my favorite from the beginning. Leon is such a great character that he is included in top 50 video game characters of all time of guinness book of world records!
