All Resident Evil 4 Weapon Unlockables! And how to unlock them!

Resident Evil 4 is the 4th major installment in the Resident Evil series. It was released in 2005 originally for the gamecube. The game features Leon S Kennedy ( who is the main protagonist), sent on a mission to rescue the president's daughter. The game was a huge success and was awarded multiple game of the year awards!

Like many other games Resident Evil 4 has Unlockables as well. In this blog I will tell you about all of the weapon unlockables and how to unlock them!

Matilda.

This weapon is unlocked when you beat the game once on any difficulty. Matilda is a 9mm handgun with Burst-Fire capability. It costs 70,000 pesetas and can be bought from the merchant like the other weapons. At the start the weapon comes with  a firepower of 1.5, a firing speed of 0.47, a reload speed of 0.85 and a capacity of 30.

My thoughts

For me this weapon was very good and was my second most favorite weapon in Resident Evil 4 that used 9mm ammunition. The only drawback of this weapon was that you have to keep the check of your ammo as this gun can burn up your ammo really quickly!

Infinite Launcher.

Like the Matilda this weapon is also unlocked by beating the main game once. This weapon costs a million pts! but is worth the price. Once you have the cash to buy this weapon it makes the game very easy and the boss fights are like a walk in the park. As the name suggests the weapon has unlimited rocket launcher rounds!

My thoughts.

When I first unlocked this weapon I was super excited and it made the game very fun for me! But as I progressed further the game got a little boring as everything was very easy. If you ever need the cash to buy the rest of the weapons then this launcher is a charm as making money from this weapon is very easy!

Handcanon.

This weapon is unlocked when you obtain a 5 star rank on all stages with all characters in the mercenaries mini game. Initially the weapon does not have unlimited ammo and uses its own special handcanon ammo. It costs 0 pts to buy this weapon and 790,000 pts to fully upgrade it. But once you fully upgrade the weapon unlimited ammo is unlocked and the power of handcanon is increased sharply to 99.9!

My thoughts.

This was the last weapon which I obtained in Resident Evil 4 but it was worth the wait. Kill the boss enemies was made very easy and fun. It only takes 1 shot of a full upgraded handcanon to kill Dr. Salvador! But if enemies are coming from every where then this weapon has a draw back as the firing rate is not very high.

Chicago Typewriter.

This weapon is unlocked when you beat the separate ways mini game. The weapons costs 1 million pts like the infinte launcher. This weapon has unlimited ammo and can't be further upgraded. The weapon has 10 firepower, 0.10 firing speed, and 2.83 reload speed ( there is no point in reloading as it has unlimited ammo but you can still do it for fun).

My thoughts.

This weapon is my second most favorite weapon and it has no draw backs as it feels like a machine gun with extremely powerful firepower! It is good for both boss fights and fights with huge number of ganados. If you are stuck between which weapon to buy this or the infinite launcher, then I would recommend you to get his weapon first!

P.R.L 412.

Last but not least this weapon is unlocked after you beat the main game at professional. This weapon is very powerful and the best thing is that it only harms the plaga which means you can fire without worrying about killing Ashely. Once you have unlocked this weapon, then it costs only 0pts to buy it. This weapon has charged shots and unlimited shots.

My thoughts.

This is my favorite Resident Evil 4 weapon and is totally worth the time. What ever the situation 1 full charged shot of this weapon is enough to take you out of it!
