5. Resident Evil 3


Resident evil 3 was released in 1999 on the original playstation. It was the third main installment in the series and features Jill Valentine as the protagonist. It features Jill escaping from racoon city which is full of zombies. Through out the game you are being constantly being chased by nemesis who is hunting all the stars members. The game takes place 24 hours prior to the events of resident evil 2. Over all it is one of my favorite resident evil games and I would really love a remaster of the game!


4. Resident Evil 7


Resident Evil 7 is the latest installment in the series which was released in January 2017. It is the first resident evil game to feature the first person camera. The protagonist of the game is Ethan who is searching for his girlfriend, Mia. The game introduces many interesting characters like jack backer. The game also has great boss fights such as the fight with mutated jack.The game also has good puzzles like the happy birthday one, though they are easy to solve. I would put this higher but the ending fight was a little disappointing for me. It is the first resident evil game to feature VR and is surely a must have for horror fans!


3. Resident Evil 2


Resident evil 2 is the second installment in the series and in my opinion it is the best resident evil game on play station 1! It was released in 1998 on the original play station. It features 2 main protagonists, Leon and Claire. Claire Redfield is looking for her lost brother, Chris during the game. Leon is a rookie cop who is on his first day as a cop. The game is a fantastic experience with great boss fights and the location of the game is also great. The R.P.D was an excellent place filled with great puzzles to solve. I can't wait for the remake which is in development for years!


2. Resident Evil Remake


If we were considering the original resident evil then it probably wouldn't have been on the list. However the remake was a master piece! Originally released for the game cube in 2002 this game was truly great. The graphics, added features like the crimson heads were all awesome new features. The game had the same story line though the graphics are way better. I really loved the game and is one of my favorite games of all time!


1. Resident Evil 4


This game was something else! Released in 2005 this game was totally different from the rest of the resident evil games. For the first time resident evil featured a over the shoulder camera. Leon returned in the game who was in a mission to rescue the president's daughter. The game play was stunning and the graphics were greatly enhanced. The boss fights were great, the ganados who were the ordinary enemies in the game were far more intelligent and fast then the typical zombies. The ganados appeared more in number and the game play was really fast than the old games. The game was a success and it is not only my favorite resident evil game but it is also my favorite game of all time! There is a reason why it has been ported to so many consoles.

Resident Evil 4 is the 4th major installment in the Resident Evil series. It was released in 2005 originally for the gamecube. The game features Leon S Kennedy ( who is the main protagonist), sent on a mission to rescue the president's daughter. The game was a huge success and was awarded multiple game of the year awards! Chris Redfield is an Resident evil character who first appers in Resident evil 1 and is also one of the most iconic Resident evil character. His latest appearance was in Resident evil 7, where he comes in the end to rescue Ethan ( the main protagonist of Resident Evil 7.) Chris Redfield has the most appearances in the resident evil franchise, surpassing all the other characters. Chris Redfield is also the brother of Claire Redfield.
